Coffee Bean Notes

  • Country Origin: Kenya
  • Region: Nyeri, Central Highlands
  • Roast: Medium Roast
  • Flavor Notes: Berry, black tea, sweet and smooth!

This is a coffee blend at its root and should be brewed as one using a regular coffee maker, french press, pour over or your preferred method of brewing.  What makes this coffee blend different is the addition of lightly roasted Cacao Nibs which add a subtle dark chocolate aftertaste to this exquisite blend.

Hip No. 28 Story

HIP #28 is the perfect name for this blend, as Kenyan AA Beans routinely produce one of the most exquisite cups of coffee in the world. With subtle hints of berry and grapefruit the sweet tropical fruit notes are balanced by the complex savory elements and creamy body of this blend. As with these AA beans HIP #28 is an exquisite, dominant, striking filly out of the Fasig-Tipton ‘14 Saratoga select sale. Ridden by Mike Smith and trained by the well respected Jerry Hollendorfer she was named champion 2-year-old filly in 2015, won the Kentucky Oaks and Alabama Stakes among others in 2016 and started 2017 with a G1 win at Belmont Park during Belmont stakes day. Her owner is Rick Porter, the owner of Fox Hill Farm. On August 4th, 2014 she was HIP #28 but today she is better known as Songbird. Enjoy!
